I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were not up to standard, with issues like a faulty shower, stained ceiling, and a disappointing view of the car park. Despite moving rooms twice due to cleanliness issues, the chipped furniture and sagging curtains stood out. On the flip side, the rooms were adequately clean and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
The hotel had all the usual amenities in the rooms, including TV, tea/coffee facilities, and an iron. Breakfast was included but staff were not aware of the free coffee/tea on departure. The service was a mix of lackluster reception and good customer service execution. The location seemed tired and far from Gloucester but suitable for relaxation. The dining experience had some limitations with timetabling issues and ran out of basic items at an extra charge.
